Quality Engineer

Job Description

Carbon is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team in Redwood City, CA. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Carbon's hardware and accessories products. He/She shall put in place systems to proactively monitor field and production data to identify systemic trends which could indicate quality issues. The role requires being onsite during the work week in our Redwood City, CA office.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain quality control plans for parts and products
• Develop Quality Control plans and perform tests for mechanical, electrical, and optical subassemblies.
• Address quality issues that arise through efficient containment, detailed root cause investigations, and cross functional collaboration to ensure implementation of corrective actions
• Collaborate with R&D on new development projects to ensure quality requirements are input into product requirements

Requirements:

• BS or MS in relevant engineering discipline
• 3+ years work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced international environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Quickbase, JMP, Statistical Process Control
• Familiarity with Quality System standards such as ISO 9001
• Knowledge of QC testing equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
