Software Engineer (Consumer) - Fullstack, Typescript, React, Golang, SQL

Job Description

Opendoor is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Consumer organization in San Francisco. This role focuses on building digital experiences for home sellers and buyers, contributing to the transformation of their technical architecture and user experience. The position is hybrid, requiring occasional onsite presence.

What this role involves:

• Creating meaningful experiences by working closely with product managers and designers.
• Owning fullstack features, designing front-end experiences in React and TypeScript, and working on back-end systems (Python, Go, or Ruby).
• Writing clean, maintainable, and modular code, contributing to reusable UI components and scalable application architecture.
• Collaborating with engineers, designers, and operators to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Driving quality and best practices through code reviews and mentorship.
• Partnering with operations teams to identify opportunities for software to simplify workflows and enhance customer support.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience building and delivering high-quality, web-based user-centered software products in a team environment.
• 2+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, GraphQL, HTML5, and CSS.
• Comfortable working with backend systems (Python, Go, or Ruby).
• A strong desire to build intuitive, impactful software.
• Experience working closely with cross-functional partners.

• A base pay range of $143,000-$197,000 annually, plus RSUs and bonuses.
