Analyst - Finance & Strategy

Job Description

Opendoor is seeking an Analyst to join their Finance and Strategy team in Chennai. The Analyst will play a critical role in building Opendoor's F&S presence in India, influencing the company's growth through forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on the P&L and key business metrics. The ideal candidate will have experience in P&L reporting, forecasting, analytics, and developing financial models.

What this role involves:

• Driving monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Building and maintaining instrumentation to measure business performance.
• Building forecasting models and tracking financial performance.
• Paying meticulous attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
• Partnering with the business to support strategy and decision-making.
• Leading ad hoc financial modeling and analysis.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), investment banking, management consulting, and/or forecasting roles.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; MBA, CMA, CPA a bonus.
• Experience in working under US GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
• Strong understanding of advanced lookup functions in Excel.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office suite / Google suite.
• Familiarity with Hyperion - Smartview, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or other financial planning software.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written, verbal communication, and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
