Convera is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to join their sales team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, understand customer needs, and design tailored solutions. This hybrid role requires working from the Peterborough office 2-3 days per week.Role involves:
- Collaborating with sales executives to clarify customer requirements.
- Delivering product presentations and demonstrations.
- Conducting in-depth assessments of customer environments.
- Creating technical proposals.
- Providing thought leadership on industry trends.
- Liaising with product management and engineering teams.
- Mentoring junior pre-sales engineers.
- Assisting in responding to RFPs and RFIs.
- Participating in trade shows and customer events.
- Building strong customer relationships.
- Answering technical queries across the Sales Cycle.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering or technical sales role.
- Strong understanding of software development and system integration.
- Proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with CRM tools (such as Salesforce).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
