Job Description
Convera is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to join their sales team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, understand customer needs, and design tailored solutions. This hybrid role requires working from the Peterborough office 2-3 days per week.Role involves:
  • Collaborating with sales executives to clarify customer requirements.
  • Delivering product presentations and demonstrations.
  • Conducting in-depth assessments of customer environments.
  • Creating technical proposals.
  • Providing thought leadership on industry trends.
  • Liaising with product management and engineering teams.
  • Mentoring junior pre-sales engineers.
  • Assisting in responding to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Participating in trade shows and customer events.
  • Building strong customer relationships.
  • Answering technical queries across the Sales Cycle.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering or technical sales role.
  • Strong understanding of software development and system integration.
  • Proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools (such as Salesforce).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
