VP of Comms

Job Description

Cleo is seeking a VP of Comms to lead their communications efforts and shape the company's narrative. This role involves setting the strategic direction for communications, including executive communications, public relations, and media relations in both the consumer and investor space. The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic thinker with a proven track record in supporting organizations in all aspects of communication.

Role responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a comprehensive PR and communications strategy aligned with Cleo’s brand vision and business objectives
• Crafting compelling company narratives for both consumer and investor audiences
• Leading an internal team and external partners in their efforts to pitch top-tier media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers
• Overseeing the planning and execution of media campaigns, product launches, and corporate announcements
• Identifying, advising on, and executing high-visibility executive speaking opportunities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in messaging
• Managing communications budget and analyzing media coverage
• Staying informed on industry trends and competitor activities

Requirements are:

• 15+ years of leadership experience in corporate communications
• Experience in public relations, media relations, and executive communications in the tech industry, preferably in AI and/or Fintech
• Ability to develop and execute strategic communications initiatives
• Proficiency in creating narratives that resonate with stakeholders
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Expertise in analyzing PR metrics and media coverage
• Understanding of digital and social media trends
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong team ethic and collaborative work style
