Galileo Financial Technologies is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Product Engineering Team. This role involves working within the banking core and acting as a technical reference point for the team.Responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and testing of systems and services.
- Writing, testing, and deploying efficient, scalable code to production.
- Ensuring the codebase remains easy to change and always shippable.
- Participating in shaping the technical architecture of the product.
- Delivering highly available and scalable services in a production environment.
- Generating ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
- Mentoring other engineers and supporting the technical culture.
- Communicating and collaborating with product and design teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 6+ years programming experience with Java.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Delivery principles and techniques.
- Ability to lead and influence a team's technical direction.
- Demonstrated ability to design resilient software components within a distributed system.
- Advanced English level.
- Experience in the fintech or banking field is a plus.
- Experience working with managed cloud services such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Good communication skills, adaptation to change and conflict management.
