General Accountant

Job Description

Gotion Inc., based in Silicon Valley, is seeking a General Accountant for its Manteno, IL manufacturing facility. This role involves financial analysis, reporting, and general ledger management in an international environment. The ideal candidate will have approximately 6 years of accounting experience and a strong background in finance.

The General Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, contributing to the company's growth and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements and budgets.
• Analyze variances to provide actionable insights for management.
• Maintain and analyze the financial reporting and general ledger systems.
• Build and lead the financial team.
• Enhance project accounting systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage financing activities, M&A projects, tax planning, audits, and risk control measures.
• Ensure proper accounting and business controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
• Analyze financial reports of competitors and market trends.
• Provide insightful information to aid in the company's strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience.
• Proven experience in financial analysis and modeling.
• Experience in an international working environment; experience in the US battery industry is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP.
• Self-starter with the ability to analyze, prioritize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Positive attitude with adaptability to changes in workload and job requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English is required.

Gotion Inc. offers:

• U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $80k –$100k, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits.
