Job Description
DoiT is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Architect to join their Cloud Reliability Engineering team in APAC. This is a remote position based in Japan, with occasional travel to Tokyo. The ideal candidate will help cloud-driven organizations leverage the cloud to drive business growth and innovation.
The Senior Cloud Data Architect will work with rapidly growing companies primarily in Japan, and occasionally in Asia, and around the world. DoiT prefers to teach people how to fish instead of fishing for them.
Responsibilities:
- Apply hands-on experience & skills in a consultative manner to address customers’ strategic and tactical needs around cloud technologies
- Grow technical and interpersonal skills by addressing customer challenges and leveraging dedicated learning time
- Strengthen personal brand through thought leadership activities
Requirements:
- Verbal and written fluency in both Japanese and English
- Expertise in architecting, developing, and troubleshooting large production-grade distributed systems on AWS
- Experience with cloud data storage, data warehousing, and/or data lake architectures, ETL/ELT, and reporting/analytic frameworks and technologies
- Experience with designing highly-available systems for serving transactional web-scale low-latency traffic using both RDBMS and NoSQL technologies
- Programming background with shell scripts and one or more of the following: JavaScript, Java, Python, Go, or Rust
- Familiarity with debugging, refactoring, and optimizing code, and the experience to know when and how to automate tasks
- Open to study and work with Google Cloud Platform products
