CDN Product Manager

Job Description

Vercel is seeking a Product Manager to spearhead the development of Vercel’s CDN and Edge Network, which are crucial for ensuring fast and secure content delivery. The CDN is the backbone for static caching and dynamic responses across Vercel's global edge.This role involves driving performance and reliability, as well as defining and productizing security features for Vercel’s CDN. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CDN and edge technologies, a security-focused mindset, and the ability to translate core capabilities into monetizable features.What This Role Involves:

• Advancing caching strategies for static and dynamic content delivery to reduce latency and server load.
• Building security features such as bot protection, custom firewall rules, and rate limiting.
• Monitoring the edge network, debugging regressions, and driving improvements across the CDN.
• Supporting large customers by ensuring the edge platform scales with their needs.

Requirements:

• Strong CDN and edge expertise.
• Security-focused mindset with experience in security or infrastructure products.
• Product and revenue instincts to turn core capabilities into differentiated features.
• Technical fluency with protocols, headers, DNS, and certificates.
• Execution and influence skills to earn trust and get things done.
• Quantitative background with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
