Senior Counsel

Job Description

Gotion Inc., based in Silicon Valley, is seeking a Senior Counsel for its manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL. The ideal candidate will be an experienced corporate/commercial lawyer passionate about renewable energy and thriving in a fast-growing environment. This role provides legal support across contracts, employment law, real estate, and compliance.

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Advising on employment matters and ensuring legal compliance.
• Overseeing real estate matters related to the manufacturing facility.
• Developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.
• Identifying and mitigating potential legal risks.
• Supporting corporate governance initiatives.
• Partnering with business units to provide legal guidance.
• Managing disputes, claims, and litigation.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state, with the ability to practice in Illinois.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts.
• Solid understanding of employment law and property-related legal issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
