Mechanical Equipment Technician

Job Description

Gotion Inc., a company focused on electric vehicle and energy storage technologies, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Technician for their manufacturing facility in Manteno, Illinois. The Equipment Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

• Installing new equipment, ensuring proper configuration and integration with existing systems.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions using their knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic principles.
• Performing repairs, from basic component replacement to complex system overhauls.
• Conducting planned preventative maintenance.
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety, suggesting modifications or upgrades.
• Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, preparing reports and documentation.
• Adhering to safety regulations and company procedures.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or technical certification in relevant field.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Equipment Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, troubleshoot circuits, and work safely with electrical systems.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic components.
• Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills.
