Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

Workato is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a high-performance queuing/storage engine and will work in a polyglot environment, learning new languages and technologies. Workato is the leader in enterprise orchestration, helping businesses globally streamline operations by connecting data, processes, applications, and experiences.This role involves:

• Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
• Contributing to all phases of the development life cycle.
• Writing well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Evaluating and proposing improvements to existing systems.
• Maintaining and evolving application cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Maintaining and evolving Kubernetes clusters.
• Infrastructure hardening according to compliance and security requirements.
• Maintenance and development of monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting solutions.

Requirements include:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• 7+ years of industry experience.
• Experience working with public cloud infrastructure providers (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Experience with Terraform, Docker.
• Good understanding of Linux networking and security.
• Exceptional understanding of Kubernetes concepts.
• Experience with GOlang/Python/Java/Ruby (any) and databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Readiness to communicate in English.
