Product Developer - Softgoods

Job Description

Bellroy is seeking a Product Developer to transform design concepts into production-ready products. The Product Developer will work closely with the design team and external suppliers to refine, test, and prototype designs, ensuring a smooth transition to full-scale production. This role requires hands-on involvement in troubleshooting, adjusting, and adapting designs.

• Discussing new design concepts with the Design team
• Managing the development process from design handover to bulk production
• Conducting product testing and providing feedback to suppliers
• Coordinating with factories to maintain sample schedules and delivery timelines
• Creating production books or technical drawings for suppliers
• Identifying and resolving production issues
• Updating existing products to improve quality and durability

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in product development, specializing in soft goods, apparel, or accessories
• Experience with Adobe Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator
• Familiarity with Adobe cloud-based software and Excel
• Strong understanding of the manufacturing process and technical drawing
• Extensive testing knowledge and supplier prototyping management
• Desire to learn and adapt
