Electrical Engineer, Energy Storage Systems

Job Description

Gotion Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Fremont, California. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in integrating Gotion's energy storage products with downstream equipment and supporting sales efforts with robust system proposals.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with battery storage system BoS suppliers.
• Develop and review performance modeling of LFP battery energy storage systems.
• Develop and review system electrical designs.
• Support sales staff in providing energy storage system proposals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical hardware integration, power converter design/testing, utility power distribution, or other relevant industry experience.
• Prior work experience in energy storage, power distribution, solar or other renewable energy is strongly preferred.
• Working understanding of grid-tied energy storage system functions and applicable standards.
• In-depth understanding of HV power electronic components and expertise in developing associated testing methods.
• Strong understanding of device characteristics, gate driving circuit design, thermal design, magnetics design, power electronics topologies, and control theories.
• Proficiency with EE tools and exceptional analytical problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
