Staff Product Designer, Wholesale (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Job Description

Lightspeed Commerce is looking for a Staff Product Designer for a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, the candidate will lead the design of advanced buying and selling insights within Lightspeed's retail and wholesale network. The Staff Product Designer will transform how merchants, suppliers, and brands discover new products and customers using Lightspeed.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering user-friendly experiences from complex data sources and excel in collaborative environments.

What this role involves:

• Leading high-level product portfolio initiatives through hands-on design.
• Transforming and integrating complex data feeds to create intuitive search and discovery experiences.
• Developing design strategies based on data and ensuring designs meet user needs.
• Driving UX research to generate actionable insights and influence the product roadmap.
• Defining and evolving design systems, ensuring consistency across platforms.
• Providing mentorship to product designers and actively influencing broader design strategies.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of design experience from product-driven tech companies.
• Proven ability to set and manage design priorities.
• Expert knowledge of design systems implementation.
• Strong aesthetic judgment and understanding of visual design principles.
• Experience using prototyping and research methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
