Ground Systems Engineer II - Electrical

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer II - Electrical to join their Ground Systems Engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and commissioning launch range systems and test sites for the Electron, Neutron, and Space Systems programs. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring every mission is fully energized and flawlessly connected.Role involves:

• Designing and drafting launch range electrical systems.
• Performing cable sizing, harness design, and component selection.
• Developing panel designs for high-vibration environments.
• Conducting system sizing and analysis.
• Producing risk assessments and failure analyses.
• Supporting failure investigations and providing real-time launch support.

Requirements:

• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years of industrial experience.
• Proficiency in power supply systems.
• Strong knowledge of AC & DC systems.
• Experience with electrical equipment and automation systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
