Job Description
Scale is seeking a Director of Public Sector Deployment Strategy to lead growth and transform complex challenges with national and state partners. The Director will lead a team of Deployment Strategists, Solution Engineers, and Proposal/Technical writers, developing and executing account growth strategies and identifying new business opportunities.

The Director will act as a strategic advisor, using expertise in business development, customer success, and technical program management. They will cultivate customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, leverage AI/ML solutions, and coordinate internal resources. The Director will mentor the team in business development, customer relationship management, and strategic decision-making, fostering professional growth and ensuring Scale remains an outstanding workplace.

Role involves:
  • Leading a team of professionals.
  • Developing and executing business development strategies.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Preparing proposals for government contracts.
  • Collaborating with product development.
  • Conducting market analysis.
  • Representing the company at industry events.
  • Overseeing deal negotiations.
  • Managing a pipeline of business development opportunities.
  • Mentoring the business development team.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team.

Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience.
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical program management role.
  • Previous success growing a government technology program.
  • Previous experience managing teams.
  • A technical background.
  • A proven track record in B2B client-facing roles.
  • A basic understanding of the ML Operations process.
  • Great cross-functional experience and collaborative ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • A track record of structured, analytics-driven problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time.
