Gotion Inc., based in Silicon Valley, is building a manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL. They are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to develop and implement purchasing strategies.
The Supply Chain Specialist role involves:
- Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
- Identifying and qualifying potential suppliers.
- Conducting supplier evaluations.
- Negotiating and finalizing contracts with suppliers.
- Managing inventory levels.
- Monitoring supply chain performance.
- Collaborating with internal teams.
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends.
The requirements for this position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
- In-depth understanding of battery manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of supply chain management software and data analysis tools.
