Gotion Inc., based in Silicon Valley, is building a manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL. They are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to develop and implement purchasing strategies.

The Supply Chain Specialist role involves:

  • Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
  • Identifying and qualifying potential suppliers.
  • Conducting supplier evaluations.
  • Negotiating and finalizing contracts with suppliers.
  • Managing inventory levels.
  • Monitoring supply chain performance.
  • Collaborating with internal teams.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends.

The requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
  • In-depth understanding of battery manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of supply chain management software and data analysis tools.
