Job Description
Anaplan is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial Contracts to join their Global Legal team. This role will support Anaplan's sales growth in the Americas region by managing and providing legal support, with a focus on complex technology transactions and SaaS agreements. The Senior Counsel will work with a team of professionals and have opportunities for career growth based on performance and success.

Role Involves:
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of agreements, including cloud services, SaaS, partner, professional services, and data processing agreements.
  • Providing commercial and general legal advice to the business.
  • Building strong cross-functional relationships with Security, Privacy, Finance, and other business teams.
  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Improving efficiency in legal processes and ensuring alignment with best practices globally.
  • Staying updated on legal and regulatory developments related to cloud-based software solutions and data privacy.
  • Contributing to and refining Anaplan’s templates, playbooks, and guidance documents.
  • Delivering training to Sales on contract process and negotiation strategies.
  • Driving collaboration with stakeholders in the region and around the globe.

Requirements:
  • 6+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Law Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the U.S.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and contract drafting skills.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential.
  • Experience in leading negotiations of broad range of agreements with a primary focus on complex SaaS agreements, partner agreements, professional services agreements, data processing agreements, and other technology agreements with Fortune 100 companies (including customer form agreements).
  • Excellent substantive knowledge of intellectual property laws.
