Job Description
Loka, the 2024 AWS Innovation Partner of the Year, is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Development Lead (BDL) for a 3-month experiment. This role is designed to drive pipeline growth and strengthen the company's position as a top AWS partner. The BDL will work with the CMO and sales team to unlock new opportunities through AWS-funded campaigns and strategic outreach.
The Business Development Lead will play a pivotal role in generating and nurturing leads, strengthening relationships with Loka and AWS sales teams, and helping architect a scalable BD process. To start, this is a part-time role (50-100 hours/month) with the goal to scale into a full-time position if the experiment proves successful.
Role Involves:
- Driving Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) through targeted AWS-funded campaigns.
- Identifying and nurturing new opportunities aligned with AWS funding programs.
- Building and managing a self-controlled pipeline.
- Building and maintaining structured outreach processes.
- Providing weekly updates on lead generation, pipeline progress, and AWS feedback.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of business development or sales experience in the cloud, SaaS, or tech ecosystem.
- Experience working with AWS sales teams or cloud-focused campaigns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in crafting compelling outreach messages aligned with AWS-funded efforts.
- Results-driven with a focus on metrics, ROI, and strategic alignment.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and assess their effectiveness with data-driven insights.
- Comfortable working in a part-time, freelance capacity with minimal supervision.
- Availability during early and core US business hours.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card holder)
