Cleo, a fast-growing fintech unicorn, is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Specialist to play a key role in defining and building the ER framework from scratch. This role involves managing complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with laws and policies, and providing guidance to managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment laws and conflict resolution techniques.

The Senior Employee Relations Specialist will work in collaboration with the People Partnering team. This position provides an opportunity to resolve tier one cases and ensure appropriate risk management for Cleo.

Role involves:

  • Managing, investigating, and resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Ensuring thorough documentation of cases and compliance with laws.
  • Interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures.
  • Partnering with legal counsel to ensure compliance.
  • Monitoring trends and providing recommendations to improve policies.
  • Providing guidance to managers and HR colleagues.
  • Developing and conducting training sessions.
  • Facilitating mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Preparing and presenting reports for senior management.
  • Mentoring junior members of the HR team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in employee relations.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
