ShipMonk is seeking an Analytics Engineer to bridge the gap between data usage in product development and business teams, focusing on HR, Finance, and Operations. The ideal candidate will establish data governance and empower the executive team to make informed decisions based on reliable data. ShipMonk needs someone who is a proactive problem-solver and an excellent communicator with a proven track record in data management and cross-functional collaboration.
Role Involves:
- Enforcing proper data tooling usage and data governance.
- Collaborating with business teams and executives to uphold ShipMonk data standards.
- Implementing product development SOPs and data best practices.
- Educating business users on tooling and data access/usage.
- Liaising between product development and business on data issues.
Requirements:
- Experience in data governance and management.
- Strong understanding of data tooling and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to establish and enforce clear policies and procedures for data usage, tooling, and access.
- Commitment to maintaining consistent, accurate, and reliable data for decision-making.
- Proactive in ensuring business users can easily find and use data effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with product development and business teams on data initiatives.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve data-related issues efficiently.
