Senior Windows Systems Engineer

Job Description

IMC is seeking a Senior Windows Systems Engineer to join their Operations Engineering team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, automating, and scaling the systems that power workstations, tools, and user environments across the Windows environment. He will be a key contributor in uplifting the team’s technical capabilities, enabling smarter operations across the Amsterdam office and will support global on efforts, helping us replicate and scale our best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer, maintain, and evolve user environments in Windows.
• Act as a subject matter expert in areas like Active Directory, Microsoft 365, cloud integration (primarily AWS), and system security policies.
• Support and extend mobile device management (MDM) capabilities with platforms such as JAMF, particularly on MacOS.
• Build automated workflows using PowerShell (and/or Python) and integrate third-party tools via APIs.
• Optimize performance for user-facing tools and platforms.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across multiple locations.
• Design and implement monitoring and alerting solutions.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Deep expertise in Windows infrastructure and hybrid cloud setups.
• Strong knowledge of MDM tools (JAMF, Intune).
• Understanding of VMWare and networking fundamentals.
• Solid documentation and operational handover habits.
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Python.
