Senior Data Engineer (LATAM)

Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their data team. The Data Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining robust data pipelines, transforming site traffic and product usage data into actionable insights, and ensuring data quality across Xometry's systems. This role directly impacts product, marketing, sales, yield management, and user engagement strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Perform product data engineering in partnership with software engineering.
• Build product and analytic data architecture.
• Design, build, and deploy data pipelines from multiple source systems.
• Implement data modeling best practices in DBT.
• Document data requirements, data workflows, automate pipelines.
• Support data governance and master data management efforts.
• Communicate technical topics and data solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data architecture.
• Bachelor’s in a quantitative field.
• Experience working with Software Engineering and DevOps.
• Demonstrated experience building data models for software application telemetry and website traffic.
• Demonstrated experience building data models for capturing billing and subscriber transactions.
• Expertise in SQL, dbt, Python, batch & streaming processing, change data capture, orchestration, scheduling, and data migration best practices.
• Hands-on expertise designing data quality & pipeline observation, monitoring, and alerting best practices.
• Knowledge of or experience with advertising/adtech business models preferred.
• Ability to integrate analytic data pipelines into Business Intelligence tools - Looker preferred.
• Knowledge of or experience with GitHub for code management.
