Job Description

AstroPay is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and building scalable backend systems that power AstroPay’s core products. The role involves understanding system architecture, optimizing performance, and collaborating with other teams to build innovative and robust solutions. The Senior Backend Developer will contribute to a platform that handles millions of dollars daily.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems, APIs, and databases.
• Work closely with product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure code quality and performance.
• Monitor and improve system reliability.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a backend developer.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, Node.js, or similar.
• Strong knowledge in databases.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and database optimization.
