Frontend Tech Lead | Growth Retention

Job Description

Wellhub, formerly Gympass, is seeking a Frontend Tech Lead to join its Growth Retention team in Portugal. This role involves leading a team of software engineers, ensuring the quality and pace of technical deliveries. The Tech Lead will serve as a technical reference, actively participating in architectural decisions, coding key features, and reviewing pull requests. They will collaborate with the Product Manager to evaluate task feasibility, prioritize engineering issues, and ensure effective agile ceremonies. Responsibilities:

• Develop features, often in pair programming (30-50% of time).
• Ensure systems reliability and monitoring.
• Manage technical debts and engineering backlog.
• Set up experiments to test improvements.
• Ensure successful deliveries and promote long-term technical health.
• Maintain high code quality standards.
• Participate in incident resolution and troubleshooting.
• Help the engineering team grow in their careers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in web/mobile development.
• Experience working with agile product development teams.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React ecosystem.
• Familiarity with BFF.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
