Job Description
xAI is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building products and tooling to help generative models accurately simulate physical and virtual worlds. This role involves working within a small, highly motivated team focused on engineering excellence, contributing directly to the company’s mission.
The Software Engineer will play a significant role in pushing the boundaries of what is possible with cutting-edge multimodal language models, with a particular focus on audio and visual data. They will own the end-to-end experience of large-scale platforms used both internally and externally.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and designing infrastructure and products for large-scale multimodal data acquisition and processing.
- Building infrastructure for large-scale video data pipelines, curation, and annotation.
- Developing and implementing quantitative evaluations for world simulation accuracy and intelligence.
- Inference optimization for real-time generation.
- Maintaining a deep focus on building a lovable user experience everywhere from data curation to inference.
