Neuron Mobility is seeking a Senior Mechanic to join their team in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and routine inspections on the company's e-scooter fleet, as well as monitoring the performance of mechanics. The Senior Mechanic will also ensure the warehouse operates efficiently, safely, and according to Neuron’s standard operating procedures. This position offers the opportunity to streamline warehouse and repair processes and contribute to launch initiatives in Australia and elsewhere. The ideal candidate will be available to work four weekdays and one weekend day.
What this role involves:
- Performing maintenance and repairs on e-scooters and e-bikes.
- Conducting assurance checks to ensure safety and performance standards.
- Troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
- Maintaining service records.
- Collaborating with the operations team.
- Developing and executing the company's Warehouse Management strategy
- Performing quality control and basic maintenance on the e-scooters
- Performing basic administrative tasks, such as shift scheduling, manpower deployment and inventory management.
- Train new e-scooter mechanics and conduct refresher training as necessary.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience with light vehicles or electrical systems.
- Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics (Certificate III or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and maneuver items weighing 28-35kg.
- Suitable personal smartphone.
- Prior experience in stock planning and management.
