Lab Technician

Job Description

Veritas Intercontinental, now part of LetsGetChecked, is seeking an experienced and motivated Lab Technician to join their genetics laboratory team in Barcelona. The company is a global healthcare solutions provider that empowers individuals to manage their health from home. The Lab Technician will contribute to laboratory operations, including DNA extraction, quality control, and library preparation and sequencing.

Role Involves:

• Accessing samples
• Preparing samples for analysis using lab equipment
• Performing molecular assays including DNA extraction, PCR and qPCR
• Operating robotic sample preparation instruments
• Preparing next-generation sequencing libraries
• Maintaining lab cleanliness and stock levels
• Maintaining laboratory records

Requirements:

• Título de Técnico Superior en Laboratorio Clínico y Biomédico
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in a clinical or reference laboratory
• Experience with liquid handling platforms (desirable)
• Familiarity with LIMS (desirable)
• Experience with high-throughput methods and lab automation (desirable)
• Experience in a genomics/sequencing facility (desirable)
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and good time management
• Good English communication skills (desirable)
• Immediate availability (desirable)
