UX Engineer (remote)

Job Description

Appfire is seeking a UX Engineer to join its Design Systems team. This role involves bridging the gap between design and engineering to develop and maintain scalable design systems. The UX Engineer will work on creating reusable React components, managing Figma libraries, and ensuring cohesive user experiences across various products.

The role involves:

• Creating design components that are highly usable and flexible.
• Becoming an authority on the visual design language.
• Designing experiences that work across multiple platforms.
• Advocating for and teaching others how to use design systems.
• Developing and maintaining a React component library using TypeScript and CSS-in-JS.
• Implementing and advocating for accessibility standards (WCAG).

Requirements include:

• Solid experience in front-end development and design systems.
• Experience leading high-impact design system initiatives.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and CSS-in-JS methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Figma.
• Understanding of accessibility standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
