Job Description
Lush Cosmetics is seeking a Manager in Training for their Freehold, New Jersey location. This role is designed to develop future store leaders. The Manager in Training will support the Store Manager in various business areas, ensuring a strong customer experience, staff experience, and operational excellence. They will also contribute to exceeding sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to exceed daily sales goals and ensure a unique customer experience.
- Educate customers and staff on brand values.
- Increase product knowledge and make informed recommendations.
- Demonstrate business acumen and understanding of metrics and budgets.
- Support the team on the sales floor, answer questions, and motivate them.
- Own personal development and support the growth of the team.
- Engage the team to ensure they are inspired and motivated.
- Support staffing efforts by recruiting and hiring top-performing staff.
- Collaborate on plans to improve staff engagement and performance.
- Support the manager in maintaining shop compliance.
- Support the training of the inventory team and manage ordering.
- Support the development of the team to maintain a clean work environment.
- Ensure the right number of staff are scheduled at peak times.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of managing or supervising in a retail environment
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills
- Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
- Ability to work flexible hours
