Senior Software Engineer II (Ruby on Rails)

Job Description

Narvar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II with expertise in Ruby on Rails to join their growing team. This role involves leading the design, development, and maintenance of the Narvar platform architecture, working closely with the CTO on productized applications. The engineer will be part of a small, agile team focused on delivering applications rapidly, akin to a seed-funded startup, with ownership of products from end to end. Narvar is on a mission to simplify the lives of consumers, is a platform focused on driving customer loyalty through seamless post-purchase experiences and it works with GameStop, Neiman Marcus, Sonos, Nike, and 1300+ other brands.

• Collaborating with Engineering Leaders and the CTO to estimate, design, develop, debug, and launch applications.
• Translating business/customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Resolving complex technical issues and driving innovations.

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of development experience.
• Strong professional experience developing with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong professional experience with React or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Bonus: Familiarity with startups and contributions to open-source Ruby projects.
• Previous startup experience preferred.
