Engineering Technician I, Qualification

Job Description

Alamar Biosciences is seeking an Engineering Technician I - Qualification to join their team in Fremont, CA. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and assisting all aspects of the system including hardware, software, and consumables. They will work in close collaboration with various teams.Role involves:

• Performing instrument qualification protocols on ARGO HT instrument.
• Collecting data and transferring it into a database.
• Performing calibration of ARGO HT instrument using prescribed fixtures and work instructions.
• Operating inspection equipment and generating engineering inspection reports.
• Maintaining calibration, maintenance, and repair records for laboratory equipment.
• Performing QC testing on existing and new products as needed.
• Improving technical procedures by participating in method development and validation of new systems and processes.
• Helping support and improve existing high throughput laboratory automation systems.

Requirements include:

• A Technical Associate degree, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates required skills.
• A minimum of 1 years' experience as a technician
• Comfortable using lab equipment such as pipettes, centrifuge, etc.
• Detailed oriented and able to follow specific work instructions
• Proven skills in testing and/or operation of electromechanical systems, including collection of test or operation data
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Self-motivation with a positive “can do” attitude and attention to details
• Be able to lift 50 lbs
• Bachelors degree in a technical field a plus.

Role offers:

• Base salary range of $80,000 - $92,000
