Platform Team Leader - Software (m/f/d)

Job Description

Our client, a pioneering German dual-use technology company, is seeking a Platform Team Leader - Software to lead its engineering strategies. The role focuses on streamlining the deployment, testing, and production-readiness of autonomous robotic systems. The candidate will contribute to projects bridging the gap between software, operations, and end-users, working within an innovative, international team dedicated to automation and robotics.

The role involves:

• Acting as the subject matter expert on radio communications.
• Defining and documenting deployment procedures.
• Serving as the technical liaison between software engineering and customer-facing teams.
• Leading and managing a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
• Overseeing the bring-up and production-readiness of robots.
• Continuously improving processes and tools for scaling production.
• Driving and coordinating certification efforts.
• Ensuring the overall platform meets regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Solid background in field robotics, defense, or critical infrastructure systems.
• Proven programming skills in C++ and experience with ROS.
• Experience leading technical teams in robotics or embedded systems.
• Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting embedded or robotic systems.
• Extensive knowledge of communication protocols.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
