Product Engineer III

Job Description

Zafin is seeking a Product Engineer III to join their team in India. Zafin's platform helps top banks drive customer value through AI-powered solutions.

The Product Engineer III will be responsible for defining, designing, and building a next-generation application to help banks alert customers on balance thresholds. The role involves hands-on software development and collaboration with the platform architecture team.

What this role involves:

• Supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer needs as part of software delivery
• Working with senior team members to learn, review, and assess product capabilities
• Understanding requirements for software features and enhancements
• Creating technical specification documents
• Converting requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
• Code development and peer code review
• Creating unit test scenarios and unit test cases
• Root cause analysis
• Communicating proactively with customers and internal team members
• Participating in triage sessions with customers and partners
• Supporting the team in developing product and customer knowledge base
• Learning and adopting new technologies

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Industry-accepted certification in Java technologies
• 5-7 years of development experience
• Proficiency in writing queries and procedures and understanding existing procedures
• Ability to perform performance tuning in Java and Oracle
• Strong debugging capability in Java-based applications
• Basic knowledge of cloud concepts
• Experience working with customers and partners
• Agile, Scrum experience
• Familiarity with process methodologies used in the software industry
• Experience in Java technologies, multi-threaded server-side programming, and user interface technologies
• Knowledge and experience using relational databases
• Familiarity with J2EE application servers, Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate
• Familiarity with automation of repeatable processes
• Web Services: REST, SOAP
• MS Office Suite proficiency
• Familiarity using development tools: IDE, Unit testing tools, Build tools, Source control and code review tools
• Ability to work in remote and/or office setting
• Flexibility with working hours
