Data Engineer

Job Description

Jun Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join their engineering team and help manage diverse data initiatives. The Data Engineer will collaborate with Product and Strategy teams to build customized reporting solutions for clients. They will integrate new internal data sources and third-party APIs to enhance reporting capabilities. The role involves streamlining processes for rapid prototyping and working with the DevOps team to ensure data integrity.Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with Product and Strategy teams to build customized reporting solutions
• Integrating new internal data sources and third-party APIs
• Streamlining processes for rapid prototyping
• Working with the DevOps team to ensure data integrity
• Experimenting with new tech to find the right tool for the job
• Using Kanban to manage multiple releases per week
• Maintaining high code quality through code reviews and automated tests

Requirements:

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience building customer-facing dashboards and reports using data visualization tools
• Comfortable writing SQL and manipulating large datasets
• Experience designing schemas and optimizing queries for a data warehouse
• Experience building and maintaining batch ETL/ELT jobs using an orchestration platform
• Familiarity with Google Cloud or AWS big data products
