Job Description
The ACLU is seeking a Paralegal for its Voting Rights Project. This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY, requiring in-office presence two days a week or eight days a month. The Paralegal will support the legal team through litigation and administrative tasks.
Role Involves:
- Cite-checking and formatting legal documents
- Organizing litigation calendars and files
- Processing invoices and expense reports
- Managing travel arrangements
- Providing administrative and logistical support for trials and hearings
- Filing, reviewing, and organizing litigation documents
- Handling general administrative duties
- Assisting in case management
- Coordinating logistics for depositions and meetings
- Conducting internet and factual research
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- One year of paralegal or relevant administrative experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of the Bluebook citation system
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and time management abilities
