Job Description

FalconX is seeking a Head of Compliance, Americas to lead the compliance program, encompassing AML/CFT, Economic Sanctions, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will report to the Global Head of Compliance and collaborate with onshore and offshore compliance teams. This role is based in either the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City.FalconX operates at the intersection of traditional finance and cutting-edge technology, offering a comprehensive solution for digital asset strategies.Responsibilities:

• Oversee AML/CFT and Sanctions program for FalconX's regulated entities in the Americas.
• Serve as FalconX’s board appointed AML Officer for U.S. based entities.
• Work with leads to obtain and maintain registrations and licenses in the U.S.
• Evaluate existing and new products and services for Compliance risk.
• Design, implement and oversee AML/CFT internal controls.
• Review and investigate alerts/high risk accounts.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and best practices are implemented.
• Manage the U.S. Compliance team.
• Monitor evolving global regulations for cryptocurrencies and decentralised financial products.
• Assist with providing MIS and data for annual independent testing.
• Provide advisory support to Business teams regarding regulatory requirements and risks.
• Ensure timely Compliance reporting of key risk and performance indicators.
• Update and ensure adherence to compliance training program.
• Manage ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of Compliance regulatory leadership experience in the financial services space (FinTech, Crypto or banking sector).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business Administration, or a related field, or Juris Doctor Preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with compliance regulations including but not limited to AML/CFT, Patriot Act (CIP), Office of Foreign Assets Control, and FinCEN advisory guidelines regarding Know Your Customer (KYC)/Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
• Proven background in building crypto compliance programs, processes and controls.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
