Job Description
FalconX is seeking a Senior Counsel to be a primary legal advisor to its credit businesses. This role involves providing strategic legal guidance on digital asset lending, margin, borrowing, and other credit-related activities. The Senior Counsel will collaborate with Product, Markets, Risk, Operations, and Compliance teams to support new product development, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage legal risk.
Role Involves:
- Advising on structuring, negotiation, and documentation of digital asset loans and credit arrangements.
- Drafting and negotiating master loan agreements and security documents.
- Analyzing U.S. and international legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and communicating implications.
- Identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with credit extension and collateral management.
- Managing and resolving disputes arising from credit transactions.
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless execution of credit transactions.
Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience in credit, lending, or structured finance.
- Deep understanding of secured lending and collateral management practices.
- Familiarity with UCC Article 9 and bankruptcy regimes.
- Experience drafting complex credit documentation.
- Strong knowledge of digital asset and traditional credit product regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Prior experience in fintech, crypto, or digital asset environments.
