Speech-Language Pathologist - Illinois (25-26 School Year)

Job Description

Parallel is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support school partnerships in Illinois for the 2025-2026 school year. The Speech-Language Pathologist will empower students with learning differences. They will provide exceptional care and equip children with the tools they need for success.What this role involves:

• Conducting SLP evaluations and deliver direct services to children
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitoring each child's progress and adjusting strategies as needed
• Communicating with parents, staff, and students regarding progress
• Completing essential documentation for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations
• Meeting with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to discuss student needs, adaptations, and interventions
• Actively participating in team meetings and work collaboratively to ensure every student's success

What Parallel requires:

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• At least 1 year of experience providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations in a school setting (CFY not included)
• Experience in IEP meetings, case management, and completing educational eligibility determinations and comprehensive reports
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage children from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Comfort with technology and virtual telehealth platforms
• Availability during school hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday)
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus!
