Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

Remote is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir) to join their engineering team. This role involves building tools, APIs, and integrations for one of Remote's products, utilizing Elixir, Phoenix, and Postgres. The engineer will participate in product work, provide feedback, and suggest solutions, contributing to the shared codebase and debugging technical issues. They will also mentor other engineers and participate in non-team activities.

What this role involves:

• Leading the development of major team-scoped projects.
• Participating in cross-team initiatives.
• Providing feedback on code reviews.
• Debugging and solving technical and business issues.
• Mentoring and providing guidance to other engineers.
• Designing and implementing APIs.

Requirements:

• Significant experience as a Backend Engineer working with Elixir.
• Experience with Postgres (or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD (GitLab, Github, Jenkins or similar).
