Job Description
Vonage is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to optimize the operations of their Engineering team. This role reports to the Head of Engineering and focuses on enhancing the performance and scalability of the engineering organization. The Operations Manager will manage OKRs, prepare reports for the Executive Leadership Team, oversee hiring, and optimize operational processes across QA, FinOps, Architecture, and Application Performance. Future responsibilities may include managing a small team.
Role Involves:
- Managing the capture and execution of OKRs.
- Preparing high-level performance reports for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Overseeing the engineering hiring process.
- Optimizing key operational processes across QA, FinOps, Architecture, and Application Performance.
- Providing occasional oversight for high-visibility projects.
Requirements:
- 10 years experience in the software engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations or program management.
- Proven track record of managing OKRs and driving cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong experience with reporting, metrics analysis, and presenting to executive leadership.
- Previous experience in engineering or technical hiring.
- Experience in process optimization (SDLC, CI/CD, QA, FinOps, Software Architecture).
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) and reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
