Job Description
Sterlington, an international law firm, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to join their team. This is a remote, full-time, independent contractor role supporting US Eastern Time working hours. The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable team, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of invoices, and implementing effective collection strategies.
- Drives the resolution, collection and disposition of unpaid invoices
- Fill in for AR billing specialists as required
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of invoices
- Oversee month-end and year-end AR closing activities
- Manage and supervise the accounts receivable team
- Assist the finance and accounting department with billing, tracking, and collections
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and implement effective collection strategies
- Ensure GL accounts are reconciled and discrepancies are corrected
- Coordinate with teams and stakeholders to address billing issues and disputes
- Prepare and present regular accounts receivable reports to senior management
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
- Understanding of revenue recognition principles
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
- 10+ years’ experience working with Accounts Receivable
- Managerial/Leadership experience
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
