The ACLU is seeking a Staff Attorney, Senior Staff Attorney, or Senior Counsel to join its Reproductive Freedom Project. This role will contribute to the ACLU's mission of protecting and advancing reproductive rights through litigation, policy advocacy, and public education. The position is based in either New York, NY, or Washington, DC, and is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence two days a week or eight days a month.
Role Involves:
- Litigating cases in federal and state courts.
- Working with political advocacy staff on legislative and regulatory matters.
- Advising abortion providers on compliance with restrictions.
- Engaging in public speaking and media appearances.
- Drafting public education materials.
- Supporting ACLU affiliates on reproductive rights issues.
Requirements:
- J.D. degree and admission to practice in one state.
- Significant litigation experience.
- Excellent research skills.
- Ability to write and speak clearly and persuasively.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with a wide range of people.
