Senior Manager, Brand & PR

Job Description

Postman is seeking a strategic and creative Brand & PR Senior Manager to scale its brand presence and narrative. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned communications professional with a strong background in brand storytelling, media relations, and thought leadership. This role is based in San Francisco, California.Postman is the world’s leading API platform, used by more than 40 million developers and 500,000 organizations. Postman is helping developers and professionals across the globe build the API-first world by simplifying each step of the API lifecycle and streamlining collaboration—enabling users to create better APIs, faster.What this role involves:

• Defining and evolving Postman’s brand narrative and strategic positioning.
• Owning end-to-end global PR strategy and execution.
• Crafting compelling storylines that elevate Postman’s role in the API economy.
• Leading executive visibility efforts.
• Serving as the steward of Postman’s brand voice and positioning.
• Partnering closely with Developer Relations and Community teams.
• Tracking and reporting on brand health, media coverage, and campaign performance.
• Managing issues and crisis communications as needed.
• Providing regular updates to cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Continuously monitoring trends and competitor moves.

Requirements:

• 8–12+ years of experience in brand, PR, or communications (preferably in tech, SaaS, or developer-first environments).
• Experience leading strategy and collaborating with regional agencies.
• Proven success building and executing brand and PR programs at scale.
• Deep media relations experience and a strong network of contacts.
• Excellent writing, messaging, and storytelling skills.
• Strong understanding of developer communities and technical audiences.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with different stakeholders.
• Calm, confident, and creative under pressure.
• Experience managing agencies, budgets, and external partners.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and global environment.
