Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description

Tenstorrent is seeking a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team in Taiwan. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of components and materials sourced from suppliers for semiconductor manufacturing processes. The Supplier Quality Engineer will work with outsourced silicon assembly and test (OSAT) and assembly contract manufacturer (CM) suppliers to drive the delivery and quality performances of devices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Assess and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Manage the supplier qualification process.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using key quality metrics.
• Perform regular audits of suppliers’ processes and facilities.
• Identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead or participate in root cause analysis for supplier-related quality issues.
• Maintain detailed records of supplier quality assessments, audits, and performance reports.
• Prepare and present regular supplier quality performance reports to senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, materials, and quality management systems.
• Proficiency in quality tools such as root cause analysis (8D methodology), SPC, MSA, APQP, FMEA, and Control/Quality Plan tools and process optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed.
