Sr. Software Engineer - Reference Data

Job Description

Addepar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Reference Data team. The Reference Data team manages data reconciliation and curation for market data providers, building a single source of truth across public and alternative investment data. As an engineer, the candidate will partner with product teams to understand business needs and contribute to challenging engineering projects, enabling solutions and effective use of the data platform.Role involves:

• Partnering with multi-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions.
• Collaborating with engineering leads to define and implement platform architecture.
• Evaluating and driving strategic business and technology decisions.
• Being a technical thought leader, educating and sharing best practices.

Requirements:

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or similar field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in distributed micro-services development with Python or Java.
• Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures.
• Ability to own complex projects involving partners across multiple teams.
• Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers.
• Rapid learner with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in building data pipelines and working with Big-data.
