Conversation Designer II

Job Description

LivePerson is seeking a Conversation Designer II to join its team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing effective and innovative conversational experiences using user-centric design methodologies and LLM prompting technologies. This role involves working with major enterprise brands to understand their business goals and customer personas, defining automation roadmaps, and providing feedback on other designers' work.Responsibilities:

• Design effective, innovative, and delightful conversational experiences.
• Work with major enterprise brands to define automation roadmaps.
• Review and provide feedback on other designer’s work.
• Lead design workshops and conduct user research.
• Create bot design documents, including bot personas and conversation flow diagrams.
• Create and iterate on prompts and prompt architecture to produce prototypes for client review
• Define the intent domain for natural language understanding.
• Review customer transcripts to identify gaps in the conversation design.
• Write copy suitable for automated conversations.
• Interpret bot performance metrics to hypothesize where design changes can be made.
• Create and evangelize conversation design best practice standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, optimization managers, bot developers, and bot design analysts.
• Demonstrate effective communication to internal executives, clients, partners, and team members.

Requirements:

• Advanced experience in bot strategy, conversation design, and optimization.
• 3-5+ total years of related experience.
• 2+ years in Conversation Design, or 3+ years in a UX service design or UX writing related role.
• Prior hands-on experience with Generative AI is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Prompt design best practices and working with LLMs.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Understanding technologies and platforms.
• Knowledge of conversational channels.
• Bachelor’s Degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
