The Tax Associate Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring tax compliance, reconciliation, and accurate reporting within the Finance Department. They collaborate closely with the Tax Manager to fulfill all tax obligations promptly and ensure financial reporting aligns with regulatory standards.

What the role involves:

  • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting monthly and annual tax returns in compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Conducting monthly tax reconciliations between book balance and SPT balance for VAT and Withholding Tax.
  • Assisting in the calculation and reporting of corporate income tax and deferred tax.
  • Supporting the Tax Manager in liaising with tax authorities and external auditors, including handling SP2DK and tax audits.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance, including monthly payments, annual returns, and tax reporting.
  • Monitoring tax regulations and updates to ensure compliance with the latest tax laws and policies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience as a Tax Staff, with hands-on expertise in tax reconciliation and reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax Administration, or Finance.
  • Brevet A & B certification is a must.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret tax laws and financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance teams.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, particularly in working with auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders.
