Tenable is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of Tenable's cloud-based vulnerability management platform, with a focus on private and US Government cloud customers. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will collaborate with cloud engineers and participate in the software development lifecycle to deliver high-quality solutions.Responsibilities:
Taking the code and functionality of Tenable cloud products and making them function in public and/or private cloud environments
Assisting with customer support escalations
Developing software, tools, and scripts to automate deployment, management, and monitoring of production systems
Collaborating with cloud engineers to understand new cloud technologies
Creating/maintaining documentation for operational procedures
Documenting and performing system upgrades, application updates, and define/implement monitoring requirements based on customer needs
Participating in an on-call rotation and support 24x7 availability of production application systems
Remediating infrastructure and container security vulnerabilities
Requirements:
U.S. Citizen required
Secret Clearance (Active) OR willing & able to attain (at least) Secret Clearance
4+ years of related SRE experience
1+ year experience with platform development in compliance with FedRamp requirements
Familiarity with FedRamp controls and procedures
Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in a technical field
Experience with the Agile software development methodology
Experience with Incident Management processes and procedures
Proficiency in Python and bash scripting
Experience with Docker or similar container solution
Experience with orchestration tooling such as Kubernetes
Experience with Terraform or similar IaC technologies
2+ years deploying Amazon Web Services (AWS) public cloud infrastructures preferred
1+ years of operational experience with industry-leading "big data" services technologies
Experience working with AWS APIs
